Back again.
Another night at home. After last week's attempt to get drunk (in my room, alone) failed miserably (ie: I got drunk, but also got miserable), I vow to stay sober all night. Maybe.
Big fun tomorrow, though. I'm going out with Rhonda and Bill (former co-workers) to see Diamond Divas at the Capitol Theatre. The proceeds are going to the Helpline, so everyone wins! Funny thing -
this queen who will be performing in the show, used to do my hair at La Spa (AKA Tom). Great hairstylist, and one helluva queen.

It's too bloody cold.
My coupled friends are staying home to cozy up and neck. My single friends are too self-pitying to venture outside.
I had a
moment the other day whilst drinking coffee at Tim's, waiting for my bus to arrive. I was watching people walk by, as was some other guy. It was one of those occasions where he'd look at me, I'd look away, I'd look at him, he'd look away. Then a woman walked inbetween us, interrupting this visual tango, but as soon as she passed, we were looking straight into each other's
souls. Had I not simply walked out without so much a look back, who knows what could have happened?
Or, maybe I'm tired of falling asleep alone.
On that note,
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

That post wasn't really going anywhere, and I want to show you some pictures, so I needed to start a new topic...
There's really no way to ségué into fish, ducks, and ice storms.
Fish,
fish, and
MORE FISH!
This is one thing I miss the most about working at UW. Every morning while walking to the building, I'd see
this. There are probably hundreds there. Every morning, some guy would come along with two huge buckets of corn, and feed them. It's like he is their Alpha Male. He looked homeless, though. After talking to him one more for a bit, it turns out he works at CN (that's where he gets the corn, shhh) and he hangs out at Doc's. So he can't be
that bad, right?
Oh, another thing I miss is
these two guys smiling/staring at me every morning from the top of my computer.
And last but not least, a few pictures of the recent ice storm:
a tree outside our house
yoga trees
. . .and
an eery looking sign

I thought I'd be somewhat productive today, seeing as it's Friday and all. Also, the guilt of not posting in a while has gotten the best of me. I just remembered yesterday that I'm supposed to be meeting Kim, my old boss at UW (not the one who got rid of me, the one before her). It's 1:39 right now, and I'm supposed to meet her for Happy Hour at Crotchmo. I sent her an email to confirm, but I have yet to hear back from her. If it was any bar but Crotchmo, I'd use it as an excuse to go for a drink anyway, even if she didn't show up.
